SAFARI day #2 & #3 (6-17/6-18-09)

When we left the Farmhouse hotel we drove to Ngorongoro Crater. I rode with David, Bobby and Candice throughout the day, it was really fun. In the morning we saw the Masai tribe hearding their cattle on the way up the mountain and in the crater itself. The crater was very dry but very pretty. We didn't se very many elephants but we saw lots of zebras and we drove around in the dust all day but it was great being with some of the funniest people on the trip. Our hotel was insane! Wehad huge rooms, great pressured showers, awesome salad at dinner and an amazing view. The dinner building thing looked out over the crater and the sunset was epic, I had never seen one that beautiful in my life.
We got up early because we didn't see much the day before and we all wanted to see lions. Well the first thing we saw as we left our hotel were two lions that were about to mate, as we drove further we saw two lionesses and their cubs in the road it was awesome, if you are into that sort of thing. Later in the morning this cheetah comes running across the field toward some antelopes/ gazelles i dont really know but it was really cool. We had three of our trucks on the road at that point watching the cheetah when out of no where like 20 trucks show up and blockade the road in order to see the cheetah. Apparently cheetahs are rare to be seen. The safari was definitely some of the funnest time, I couldnt stop smiling because I was so happy to be with the people I was with in one of the coolest places I have ever been to. God seriously made some awesome creation. On the way back to Arusha one of our trucks broke down and venders were trying to sell things to us through the windows it was hilarious. Bobby was sending everyone to Nate in the truck across the street and he was loving it, actually probably not whenever Bayli started calling him dad and asking him to buy her something. Nate ended up bartering a pen and some apples along with some money for some carving. I am seriously going to miss laughing and being around so many funny people.
